Some of the arts are from the early days of Sofia’s work as painter and, therefore, there were not proffesional photos or scans taken.  Additionally, some of her work was so fast sold, that she wasn’t able to proceed with the scanning process.  All of our prints are high quality and would never risk a print that wouldn’t meet the standards of her work. 

An original painting is the painting created by the artist.  There is only one original paint of any image and no remaking has be done or will be done in the future.  A print is a digital reproduction or copy of an original work of art.  From a high resolution scan or photo, we create sophisticated copies of the image. The image is an accurate reproduction of the painting and comes with the original signature of the artist.  

A Certificate of Authenticity is a signed document proving the authenticity of the work and containing details about the artwork. All genuine artworks come with a certificate. This document is mandatory to be given along with the sold original painting.

Moreover, an artwork’s proof of authenticity can take many different forms, from invoices to signatures to exhibition stickers. These documents map the history of the artwork—and may reveal stories about the piece that you can tell for years to come.

That depends on what you want and your preferences.  Many people mix originals with prints through their homes, depending on cost, where the art is hung, the size of a wall, the colors and their own preferences on art in general.  You might like a paint, but the original is already sold or the place you want to expose it is not good for the art to be preserverd. 

However, an original painting will last a lifetime and is something unique, that only you posses it. So even if you have the original painting of something that exists as a print, you still have the one, the original which all the others copied. Some people are investing in art, or want their painting to have re-sale value. When you buy an original painting you are part of the process; the artist has worked on the painting for weeks, even months sometimes and you are completing that very special process.
